About OM Webcam Beta
OM Webcam Beta is an application which connects compatible OM Digital Solutions mirrorless cameras to a computer to enable webcam functionality. This software allows you to use the high quality video from OM/OM-D cameras for web conferencing when using a third party web conferencing application.
- * This software is a beta version that may contain errors and is not warranted by OM Digital Solutions customer support. Please proceed with use only with the understanding of these points.
Compatible camera models
The following OM/OM-D camera models are compatible with this software and a third party web conferencing application. On all models, please update the camera's firmware to the most recent version prior to use.

How to download and install OM Webcam Beta
- Download the OM Webcam Beta installer to your computer.
- Exit all other software applications.
- Double-click the installer to begin installation.
- Follow the instructions on the installer to complete the installation.
- Restart the PC after installing OM Webcam Beta.

How to use OM Webcam Beta
- Turn the camera off and insert a memory card into a card slot.
- Select Movie mode and please don't change the shooting mode while using an OM camera as a web camera.
- Confirm that the camera is off. Connect the camera to the computer using a USB cable.
- Turn the camera on.
- The camera will display a message prompting you to identify the device to which the USB cable is connected.
- If the message is not displayed, select [Auto] for [USB Mode] in Menu.
- If the camera's battery charge is very low, the camera will not display a message when connecting to a computer. Please ensure the battery is charged.
- Highlight [] using on the arrow pad and press the OK button.
- Start a third party web conferencing application and select "OM Webcam Beta" in the device list setting menu.
- * If there is no memory card in the camera, streaming video quality will be lower.
- * The method by which a web camera can be selected varies by web conferencing application. Please refer to the instructions of the application.Changing shooting mode while using an OM/OM-D camera as a web camera, treaming video quality will be lower.
Other camera settings
- In order to activate continuous autofocus during streaming, please select Movie mode and set AF mode C-AF.
- Shooting modes other than Movie are selectable. In other modes, continuous focusing will not be enabled even if C-AF is selected during streaming. Please refocus by pushing the first release on the shutter.
- Streaming video may be cropped up to the selected aspect ratio setting in the camera.
- If video recording is started during streaming, the streaming video quality will be lower.

While streaming, the camera's HDMI connection, Wi-Fi connection, and Bluetooth connection are not enabled.
